What the hell is going on with this damn program!!
C7 panning of sends has gone really weird & very limiting!!, 6.5 was great …why change this!!!
How can I now use sends to send a left side or right side of a stereo track to a mono group/FX ?? …free routing MY A$%. …why change this behavior, It’s a pretty fundamental feature of any mixing desk/system. 
FOR ME THIS REALLY HAMPERS THE WORKFLOW!..Back to 6.5.4 I guess.
Just tried doing it in SX3 & C6.5.4 was possible to pan in this way!
Using sends to send a left side or right side of a stereo track to a mono group/FX doesn’t appear to work now in C7…it just sums the track to mono with no option to pan etc.
Anyone else notice this? …hope I’m making myself clear.

I may be misunderstanding what you’re trying to achieve but I can send either the ‘right’ side or ‘left’ side of a stereo track to a mono group without summing.
Update - I can freely send and pan an audio track to a mono group but I can’t send and pan with an instrument track in the mixer - but I can pan in the Inspector !!
Not seeing it in the inspector???

Ok create a blank stereo audio track, now send it to a mono group, using sends and not routing it directly. …the sends panning controls are greyed out.
