C9 Pro Hangs on Initialization

Cubase Pro 9.0.40.

Windows 10 Pro Version 1809 Build 17763.379

Hangs during initialization. This started today, following latest windows update, some driver updates, and BIOS flash.

Receive error message after plugin scan: “Registry error
Please ensure this product has been installed properly”

Since the first time I received the message, I have uninstalled/reinstalled twice.

Problem persists.

Cubase Pro 9.5.50 starts OK, but I like 9.0 more.

Support ticket started with Steinberg, but also seeking assistance here.

Any ideas or similar experience?

Hi,

If there is a Registry error, it seems the Windows update corrupts your Cubase installation. Therefore I would recommend to uninstall and install Cubase 9.0 from the Full installer again.
