Can 2 instrument tracks share the same midi data in Cubase?

Can 2 instrument channels share the same midi data in Cubase? What I want to achieve is 2 have the 1 instrument channel output the Close, Tree, Ambient mics for longs. Then for the other instrument channel to output the Close, Tree, Ambient mics for shorts but using the same midi file using expression maps.

Is this possible?

I know with a Midi Track you can send midi data to Instrument tracks so this can be done that way, but wondered if it can be done just using Instrument tracks.

Hi,

You can make a shared copy of the MIDI Part (Shift + Alt + Drag and Drop). Then once you make any change in one of the shared copy, the other MIDI Part will follow.

Thanks Martin!

Didn’t know Cubase could Instance Copy. Very useful feature.

Cubase is like a labyrinth of features

I assume that’s for Mac (flower). So use Shift + Alt + D&D for Windows?

Hi,

The “flower” was a typo (autocorrected). On Mac is also Shift + Alt.

Oh, I thought you meant this guy:

Sort of flowery looking, or at least a four-leaf clover!
