I’ve been facing this problem for years. Even though no Ext. instrument is used in the project, it’s still impossible to do a mixdown without real time. In lower versions, however, it was possible to do it by turning the instruments on and off and Cubase understood that this was the case. But in version 15, it doesn’t work for me. This project was created in some previous version 14 and I’m not able to render without real time, no matter what I do.
Hi,
Could you attach a screenshot of the Studio > Audio Connections > External Effects and External Instruments, please?
Hi,
So there are some External Instruments. If you route any of the instruments to the Output Bus selected for the export, then you cannot export offline.
HI,
thanks, but I don’t think that’s the case. I would have to cancel this setting every time, which is quite laborious. And besides, it worked until version 14. Cubase reports that some external instrument is being used. Which is not the case now, they are all turned off and that should be enough, at least it always was.
HELLO,
I just figured out that if I remove the SH 01 instrument on the right, which has exclamation marks around it, it suddenly works. However, I recently had a project where I deleted all the instruments on the right in the rack and it still wouldn’t export without real time.
Hi,
Interesting… I’m glad you figured it out.
Thanks.
To summarize. I’ve been struggling with Cubase for ages when I have external instruments with non realtime export, if I turn them off. I have the impression that somewhere in some update for version 14 this should have been removed (this problem). It’s possible that it already works better and I just came across some configuration when I loaded an older song that caused non-standard behavior. So let’s hope it will work without problems in the future ![]()
