Can Cubase record in background while I use another program?

Can I record on Cubase AI 7 and go to another app for notes, without Cubase stopping?

Hi and welcome,

Studio > Studio Setup > VST Audio System > Release Driver when Application is in Background. Make sure this option is not enabled, please.
