Can I change a preset which has a pad with a melody as well as a beat?

Hoping I can explain this clearly enough for someone to help …

I have chosen a preset in GA5 called “Priority Booking”. The patterns have a synth and e-piano element, as well as a beat (kick, snare, clap etc.).
Is there a way to change the notes/key/pitch of the synth/e-piano in the preset so I can have some variation across a song and not be just limited to the notes/key in which the pattern was created? … or at the very least, is there a way to find out if I have the synth and e-piano as a sounds in the likes of Halion, Retrologue or Padshop so I can manually make the patterns with different melody lines?

TIA
Scott

In the instrument - edit - main tabs there is a button named Coarse that allows you to transpose the entire Sample by semitone. It is not possible to modify the pitch of the different notes of the Sample.

HALion, Retrologue and Padshod have an abundance of presets that could surely replace the sounds of these samples.

Personally, I would erase the melodic pad of the GA preset and I would reproduce with other synths according to the needs related to the piece. In this way, I can use only the rhythmic aspect of the preset and be totally free on the melodic and harmonic side.

It’s up to you.

Thanks for the reply.
The issue with using the “Coarse” function is that it affects every instance of the pad(s) once they’ve been dragged in to the DAW.
It’s a real shame you can’t pick out individual instruments and play about with them.

This is why I mentioned that I prefer to play the pattern according to the needs associated with the piece. I have already done this with one of the Bounce Vibration presets where there was an interesting guitar pattern, but it needed to be modified according to the harmonic organization of the piece. I kept the rhythmic part of the pattern and played the pattern on the guitar according to my needs. It was more work, but the result was more interesting in the end.
