Can I delete Older versions of Cubase and Wavelab

Hi All,

I have been using Cubase and Wavelab for a while.

I’ve been tidying up some of my PCs, and have found that I have various files & folders from older versions of Cubase and Wabelab. For example, in C:\Program Files\Steinberg I have folders for Cubase 10, 11, 12 etc, Spectralayers 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12.In C:\Drivers\Steinberg I have folders for Cubase 10,11,12,14 & 15 In C:\Drivers\Steinberg\Wavelab I have various old versions folders.

None of the older versions are ‘Installed’ as far as windows is concerned.

So - The question: Can I delete these (The old versions) folders, and what’s the best way (IE, do I search for related registry entries and delete them too?)

Thanks

Hi,
you can delete all previous versions via control panel. However, they don’t require much disk space. They come in handy in case you need to reinstall your current version because your customized settings will be automatically extracted and migrated to the latest version. If you backup your system on a regular basis you don’t need them. Just make sure that all projects are compatible with your latest version,
