Can I get Cubase 10 to work without dongle?

I’ve switched back to using Cubase 10 from 13 (many reasons, bugs, crashes, not liking how the new windowed system works).
The only reason I updated in the first place was because my dongle has started intermittently not working, and Cubase 10 won’t launch without it.
Is there a way to get it to work without the dongle like the newer versions of Cubase? I really don’t want to have to go back to the newer versions as imo they are way more buggy/worse product. 10 is super stable for me and I’d like to continue using it after my elicencer dies its slow death.

No there’s not.

So when my dongle dies I’m just not allowed to use V10 anymore? :joy: Incredible

All releases Cubase 11 and older are using the eLicenser and that will not change, because it requires massive code change. None of these releases are under support anymore.

Is it possible to get a new elicencer and transfer it?

You can still buy eLicenser dongles and move your license on it. You might need to search a bit, depending on where you are in the world.

You need to make the changes to the eLicenser before 20.May 2025
