I have a new PC and USB eLicenser with Cubase AI and Cubase 5 shown to be active. I recently redownloaded Cubase 5 and a message says its not permanently activated. Says 17 hours left. Leads me to to the eLicenser Center that shows Cubase 5 is activated. Trying to reactivate with the license code it tells me it can only be used once to download or upgrade and to request a new activation code. Do I just email support? I’m confused as it shows activated on the eLicenser and in my account.
I am confused too. If you have a Cubase 5 license on your USB elicenser there is no extra (re)activation from what I can remember. Just install the correct software and run. Once you run the software it will check for a plugged-in elicsenser to work with the copy protection.
That was one of the things with the USB dongle. You bring the dongle to any computer, and run your software.
I guess I’ll see what happens when the 17 hour counts down. Hopefully it will work or accept reactivation.
Though I’m confused about the soft eLinsencer vs the USB one. I might have had it on the hard drive location on the now gone PC. Read if that is gone there’s no getting it back. Though again the USB has it shown.
You know what, nevermind for now. I downloaded Cubase 5 not Cubase 5 ARTIST. Going too fast. I think I might be ok. Download very slow.
Oh man everything seems good now so as there’s no issues running on Win 10. I see some have no problems some do.
Can you please mark this post of yours as the “solution”, so that the topic is marked as solved and others can see the solution directly underneath the question? That’d be nice.
