I am using Cubase al and I want to play along with, for example, an mp3 file. I can import such file and play it off, that’s easy. But what must I do to play along with my electric bassguitar en record the sound of the mp3 file together with my bassplaying?

Hi,
You would need to make some routing of your Audio Device.
But why do you need this? Could you just record your bass track, and the mix it down?
