Can I set shortcut or jump for scaling note size?

I frequently change the scale of notes for random cues in situations where I don’t want to use the cue feature. I can’t find the command in the key commands menu.

Ideas? TIA

Have you considered recording a macro that does just that? Once done you can then simply run your macro to accomplish it.
This is how you do it:

  1. Select any non cue note.
  2. Open the Properties Panel.
  3. In the top menu, call the command Script > Start Recording Macro.
  4. Apply the cue scale by toggle on the Scale override and choose Cue in the adjacent drop-down menu.
  5. In the top menu, call the command Script > End Recording Macro. You will now be prompted with a save dialog.
  6. Save your script in your Script Plug-ins directory. On Windows, the default is C:\Users\*yourusername*\AppData\Roaming\Steinberg\Dorico 5\Script Plug-ins, and on Mac the default is ~/Library/Application Support/Steinberg/Dorico 5/Script plug-ins. By saving it in this particular directory, your script will then turn up in the Script menu and be runnable via Jump bar.
  7. Run your script either via the Script menu or via Jump bar. Or if you don’t plan on running any other scripts, run it once via any of the mentioned ways, and then you can call the Run Last Script command to run it again over and over, which has the default key command ctrl/cmd+alt/opt+shift+R.

Thanks I will give it a try!
