Can I upgrade from Cubase AI4 to a new version?

Hi there,

I was wondering if I have any options for upgrading from Cubase AI4 to one of the latest versions? I got Cubase back in 2009 when I purchased a Yamaha Audiogram6. I still like to use the AG6 but I have not been able to install Cubase AI4 on my Win 11 computer as I believe the program is for far older versions of Windows like XP and 7. So, is there an option for me to update my version of Cubase by converting/upgrading my existing licence to a licence for a newer version on Cubase?

Thanks,

Gavin

Gavin,
A visit to the Steinberg website should provide information.

Thanks!v I did try that but when trying to go through the update process I don’t see any option for going from Cubase AI4…

Well, I’d try this one:

If it’s not available for you, maybe you’ll get some direction from there. Or you’d have to contact Steinberg support.

Try making a post in this thread …

How/When shall I receive the Cubase LE 12 upgrade from LE 11 e-licencer - Cubase - Steinberg Forums

… and tag @Matthias_Quellmann.

You might be able to get a free update from your AI4 to the current version using Steinberg Licensing.

As you have already discovered, there is no upgrade path to Elements for versions older than AI12 (the first version using Steinberg Licensing).
