Can "Musical Mode" be set to on by default for imported or recorded audio?

I often need to adjust tempos and so I need audio to be in Musical Mode and MIDI and Audio tracks to default to Musical Timebase. Can I set this as a default anywhere?

You mean set both at the same time manually and temporarily? or you mean set them as a permanent default in Preferences?

If you want imported audio to have Musical Mode active automatically, import from MediaBay with the ‘Link to Project Tempo’ button active. If you want to set a default for tracks use Preferences>Editing>Default Track Time Type.

This only switches the times base to Musical instead of Linear. So it solves half of my issue. It does not set newly created audio to “Musical Mode” (a different thing than Musical Time Base).

The mediabay solution for importing audio works great. Thanks!
