Say I have 4 background vocal performances that are not tight.
Can I allign them like the videos show audio quantizing drums ( detect hitpoints etc crossfade ) ?
btw my Cubase 6 upgrade will be here on Mon 2/07/11 : can’t wait.
The point of the group quantise is to keep multitrack recordings locked in time & therefore phase…but if you want to line up 4 different vocals you don’t want them to all move the same amount so you would need to quantise them one track at a time to get them lined up.
For vocals warping or stretching may be a better bet than slicing & quantising anyway…this allows you to alter the length of words as well as just the start points.
