Can not activate and register eLicencer

I have upgraded from Cubase Essential 5 to Cubase Artist 7.5, but I cannot activate or register Artist. Seems I’m in a trial version as everything works OK but I get messages that the licence will expire soon.
Should I uninstall Essential 5; if not, what to do?

First double-check that you have purchased the correct upgrade. There are several paths available:

Second, did you you use Essential with a dongle or a soft-licence? Artist requires a e-licencer dongle, so you need to purchase one of those if haven’t got one.
