After years of using Cubase, i have never been able to drag audio from project view directly into 3rd party plugin.
I have to Menu/Media/Pool/Reveal In Finder/drag and hold/Tab+Shift/drag into Cubase/wait/drag into plugin. Thats 8 steps. Not one.
Okay, i have a shortcut for the first 4 steps, but still… Its is cumbersome….
There are new plugins i use, but they all need this functionality to work.
I remember, long time ago, that it WAS possible to drag files from arrangment into plugins.
Maybe it was on windows, i dont really remember.
How can i get this functionallity to work?
lets say, i want to drag an audio event i just bounced from arrangment into that new Splice plugin….how???
should i change something with the Cubase 14.app?
i can drag files from ext finder window into a plugin but not from arrangement
serious, this NEVER worked as long as i can remember
my sample lib is old, i keep copying from backups to new systems for obvious reasons, not sure if i copy wierd attributes but i have no idea what to do about that.
I work mostly with new samples, i download them from Splice etc and then it still doesnt work.
Also, audio parts bounced inside CUbase 14 are brand new, so im not sure what kind of attributes Cubase gives these new files.
my “work” library is about 3TB
my system 1TB
All disk partitions/volumes are APFS
macbook pro M2 max
im on macos Sequoia 15x
i installed this laptop new, its not from a Superduper or anything like that
