hi there ,i am trying to automate retrologue with the mouse on the graphic of the vst by pressing the “write” button and moving the mod wheel but it is not recording the data . i am not doing this with an external controller .I tried the suggestions google made but nothing is working . i can perform the task live in cubase but it wont record the action . hallion keyboard is the same ,won`t record any mod wheel action. thanks
That is correct. The wheels cannot be used to record automation and the adjourning keybed cannot be used to record midi. It is just for real time clicking and mainly serves as a visual feedback for ptich bend, mod wheel and pitches.
Hi Johnny thanks for your reply…i`m sure i have recorded the mod wheel performing pitch bend and modulation moves in a vst keboard with the “W” button on the virtual keyboard or the inspector around the time of Cubase 6 . and in the google search google A.I. lol seem to think it is possible .
If the plugin was programmed to allow it, then it will work. Retrologue, Padshop and Halion Sonic are simply not programmed to do what you try.
