Can’t edit Dynamics in Divisi

Hi,
I have a Divisi a 4 and I can’t edit the Dynamics in the Key Editor:
I can for any other instrument that it’s not on a Divisi group.
Thanks!

Hi @Azu if you can share an example (cut-down Dorico Projects) with an explication of what you want to achieve in it, it would facilitate helping.

But I think if you want to edit independent dynamics for each divisi staff, you have to Enable Independent Voice Playback in Play Mode → select the track, and in Track Inspector click on Enable Independent Voice Playback: so you have separate tracks for each divisi staff, and you can edit there your dynamics.

Hi @Christian_R,
Thanks for being so helpful .
I have already enabled Independent Voice Playback, I can’t edit the Dynamics lane but can edit CC1. Is this expected Dorico’s behaviour?

I can edit Dynamics in every other Instrument that is not on a Divisi Group.
I am attaching the project.

Thanks!

Hi @Azu
I see what you mean (I hope I interpreted correctly your request, sorry if not ask again :-):

in Key Editor you have two types of values (control points/lines):

  1. the one that Dorico creates when you input dynamics in the music (p, mf, <, etc.): they have a green background. They will automatic change and adapt to what you input in the music. I you select them in Key Editor, also the corresponding items in the music will be selected, and you can delete them. To edit them when they are in a Divisi situation you can keep command/control pressed while dragging the points. (or you can (with the Draw tool or the Line tool) recreate them in the same position: they will get a blue background and you can then move the points etc with the Select tool.)

  2. the one that you create manually using the Draw tool in the Key Editor: they have a blue background. You can create them with the Draw or Line tools and edit, move etc… with the Select tool in key editor.

Thanks so much @Christian_R!
The Command while dragging did it.
Why does it behaves like that?
Also, the Dynamics had a blue background but they were inputted in the music.
Thanks now I can do what I need.
