Can Wavelab do a similar edit function as Audition?

Hi

I have been an Audition user for many years, but their subscription model has just spoilt the experience for me as I use it so infrequently and for my needs it is very expensive.

Basically I used Audition in broadcast audio to create a background music piece from a track given to me by the Production I was working for, the edited item is colloquially known as “bubble”. . I’d find the good/interesting bits and make a looped track that would play in our play out software (in my case SpotOn) and read the markers in the metadata. For instance, I could have an intro, loop a verse several times, play a couple of choruses and go back to the looped verse etc.

Does WL do a similar thing? If so I’ll buy it immediately. Thank you for your indulgence

If you mean, can WaveLab embed markers? Then yes it can.
This can be done both in the audio file editor and in the audio montage editor.

You can try WaveLab Pro out for 60 days: https://www.steinberg.net/wavelab/trial/
As someone who formerly used Audition (even Cool Edit!), I can heartily recommend WaveLab Pro!

Thanks for the quick replayPG1
Can it put those markers in a playlist so that the play out software follows it?
Cheers
