Can WaveLab Import Adobe Audition project files?

I’ve cut the chord with Adobe and I’m looking for a replacement to Adobe Audition. I believe WaveLab will fit that nicely. I’m wondering if I’ll be able to open or import any of my Audition projects (*.sesx files) in WaveLab?

Sorry, this is not possible.

Hi, Audition, is a DAW without MIDI and Wavelab is an Audio Editor, Mixing and Mastering tool.
Audition is a subscription service, if they give you a fall-back version, I suggest you keep it. Subscription software works well for media companies and recording studios and not for individuals.
You can buy Wavelab now which is on a discount and also buy a Reaper 60$ or an Ableton Intro from Thomman US store for 73$ or Cubase Elements or Artist which is also on a discount now.

Thanks for the replies. Yes, I’m aware that WaveLab is not a DAW. I used Cubase extensively a couple decades ago, and it was a great piece of software. But my current needs to not include a DAW.

More recently I’ve been using Audition as an audio editor to master my audio tracks for my YouTube videos (piano performance videos). Before cutting ties with Adobe, I documented the few plugins I was using and their settings. Since I can’t import the Audition projects (I really didn’t expect I would be able to), I’ll just recreate what I had for my new projects going forward.

It depends on how you define a DAW. In my opinion, the fact that WaveLab doesn’t handle MIDI doesn’t disqualify it as a “Digital Audio Workstation.” WaveLab is more than just an audio editor or mastering tool; it’s used for many other audio tasks as well.
