Hi Steinberg,
5 minutes is great but to have more time to contemplate a reply, especially when no one has replied, would bring more meaning, I feel, to responses.
Cheers, and happy 25th, for Nuendo!

Strange, I have several days for editing. maybe it depends on the trust level that your account has in this forum.
Hello,
It’s not a big deal, but it would just be great if that was implemented across the board.
My edits are usually just punctuation, anyway and I mostly post when there is a special since by the time they come out, I have only in the last months completely stabilised my system (lucky I have Windows 10 ESU).
What I am actually, talking about though is the forum showing the fact that a post has been edited.
Cheers
What is wrong with that? Just because there is no reply doesn’t mean that nobody has read the post. I don’t think it’s a bad thing. It’s a fact that it has been edited. No big deal, really, to me.
It could help, people to read before coming back and posting, i.e., an anti-trolling mechanism.
Just for your information, this will not be changed,
Can we have a bit more time, perhaps?
If I am not mistaken @emotive is referring to short term edits within a 5 minute time frame and not long term edits.
Haha, typos and slips - tell me about it ![]()
The forum is based on Discourse’s architecture so there is only so much Steinberg can do about it due to given restrictions.
I am referring to the interval between making a post and being able to edit it after the fact, and I believe that so long as no one else has posted, that it should be infinite, or at least be concurrent with automatic closure, i.e., no more replies or else some multiple of the latter.
In addition, I am also asking that the 5-minute time limit be extended to be at least double, what it is now so that minor edits to punctuation and so on, can be applied without showing that an edit has been made.
Ah, I see. I thought you were referring to the short term time frame only.
The Discourse architecure is open source and has limited options in this regard.
Yes, I am a fan of Discourse and note it is one of the best things Steinberg have done, as of late, even though for some reason it does not work in Microsoft edge, on some systems.
