Can we skip the upgrade message?

When I open older files they don’t immediately open but put up a ‘pop up’. Can we skip this message?

On some sad occasions I’ve had several Dorico files already open so the pop up wasn’t immediately visible and I’ve mistakenly rebooted the PC thinking it had hung :face_with_peeking_eye:

I don’t believe you can skip the message, and I think it’s good information to have. D’oh! @dan_kreider has corrected me.

I do, however, wish that Dorico were better at managing focus for these dialogs. I think that whenever I open a project file, which causes the progress bar dialog to appear, Dorico should make itself the foreground application and then bring that dialog to the front – followed by the “different version” dialog, if appropriate.

Are you saying that when you open a document, Dorico doesn’t come to the foreground?
Is that on Windows?

Yes, on Windows, when Dorico is already open and I open a second document from File Explorer, Dorico does not come to the foreground.

I can confirm that (Windows 10). Dorico is probably the only app that I know of that doesn’t bring itself to the foreground when opening a file from Windows explorer when it’s already open.

Same in Windows 11.

Great solution, thanks
