On some sad occasions I’ve had several Dorico files already open so the pop up wasn’t immediately visible and I’ve mistakenly rebooted the PC thinking it had hung
I don’t believe you can skip the message, and I think it’s good information to have. D’oh! @dan_kreider has corrected me.
I do, however, wish that Dorico were better at managing focus for these dialogs. I think that whenever I open a project file, which causes the progress bar dialog to appear, Dorico should make itself the foreground application and then bring that dialog to the front – followed by the “different version” dialog, if appropriate.
I can confirm that (Windows 10). Dorico is probably the only app that I know of that doesn’t bring itself to the foreground when opening a file from Windows explorer when it’s already open.
