I spent Sunday recording at a friend’s studio. One feature in Logic Pro blew me away. We were recording lead vocal. Every time he hit record on the vocal track, it would record on the same track, but when he hit stop, it moved to a new track. Then on playback, he used a tool to highlight sections of these tracks and it played just those sections as the track progressed. It was the fastest vocal comp I have ever seen. Instead of taking home heaps of vocal tracks to audition and assemble, I took home a comped track. It was really smooth and quick. Can Cubase do this? Thanks.
Yeah, with track versions or lanes and the comp tool.
And Cubase´s version is actually much better since you can still edit the events inside the comp as normal events. In logic this is really cumbersome.
