Can you help me?

Hello guys!

I’m a newbie on Dorico and I wanted to know how I can do a bar like the one i circled in red on Dorico.
For those who want to know its from the second Hungarian rhapsody by Liszt.

Thanks for your help
Peace
Maxime

Hi,
those small notes a grace notes.
The second five grace notes can be input as grace notes for the next note (c#) in the bar 3; and then moved back via the property panel to display before the barline.
To be able to have a tie from the previous note (b), make sure to put those 5 grace notes into a different voice.

[edit] use a l.v. tie instead

Is it possible to do it with elements or is it a Pro feature ?

Yes, that’s perfectly possible in Elements:

This is the L. v. tie in Elements Engrave Mode (the right end of the tie pulled to the right by using alt-right arrow key):

It’s actually almost a French term, as you can see „Laissez vibrer tie“
and it does not mean cravate

For spacing reasons, you might prefer to use a tuplet for the five grace notes (and hence for the half note before). On the left is the version with tuplets, and on the right the one with grace notes. (But using tuplets in this case implies also to use two different voices for the tied notes).

Thanks for taking time to reproduce it for me to better understanding how to do that
