Cannot activate Cubase 12 on my new system

“Hi. I formatted my PC. My MySteinberg account shows Cubase 12 activated on my old machine with a key/padlock symbol next to it, but the web won’t let me deactivate it. I cannot activate Cubase 12 on my new system. Could a moderator please reset my activations?”

You’ll have to put in a support ticket, this is just a user forum.

Hi,

I am not a Steinberg employee either. However, you should open Steinberg’s Activation Manager and log in with the correct credentials. Now, you’ll see a list of all systems that currently use Cubase 12 licenses (up to three). If you have reached the maximum number of three activations per single license you can’t authorize yet another machine. The solution is quite easy: Just deactivate old systems in the Activation Manager which no longer use Cubase 12 and you are free to activate Cubase 12 on your new (formatted) machine.

If the Activation Manager is not already installed on your current system you can download it here. Again, make sure to use the correct credentials.

Good luck!

Hi, I actually have a license and have always used Cubase LE10, now Cubase 12 appears and says it has expired, and as for opening and closing the administrator, I've tried everything and I'm desperate, I've tried everything, thank you very much.

Did you get an update from Cubase LE 10 to 12, or did you just install Cubase 12 without the update license?

Can you post a screenshot of your Activation Manager, showing your licensed products?

I didn't update anything, I just had to format my PC and when I tried to reactivate the license, there's no way.

I'd be happy just to have my Cubase LE10 back.

You can not reactivate Cubase LE 10, because the eLicenser system has been deactivated. However, you can ask for an update to the current Cubase LE 15, just add your request to this thread.
