Cannot activate Cubase because of ELC

Hey there,

First of all I would like to apologize for my english who is average (I’m a frenchy ) and I’m very very sorry if I’m not in the good section of the forum.

So here’s my problem : I’ve got a pack with a mic and few stuff plus the software Cubase 8 wich I installed but I cannot activate because of a error message on eLicenser Control :

"The currently installed version of the eLicenser Control (eLC) software is too old.
Please try again after downloading and installing the lastest version of the eLicenser Control software from <www.eLicenser.net> "

So I did it about five time and tried few things such like execute as administrator but no way, I always get the same error message.
I did many search on the web and can’t find anything I haven’t try yet.

Are you downloading the eLicenser Control Center from here?

Windows: http://download.steinberg.net/downloads/eLicenserControlSetup.exe

Mac OS X: http://download.steinberg.net/downloads/eLicenserControl.dmg

Make sure to let it run Maintenance Tasks after installing.

I am having the same problem. what am I doing wrong ?

Yes I did downloads from the official Website and did maintenances task when it was ask at the launch plus manually from settings

I am also having this problem, ive got the most updated version of Elicenser yet everytime i try to register my cubase it says this "The currently installed version of the eLicenser Control (eLC) software is too old.
