Cannot add wav files to batch process (bug)

I’m having an issue where I cannot add files from the File Browser (or any other method) into a Batch window. At first I thought it was just Wavelab 12 not being able to use batch files from earlier versions of Wavelab but I just created a new Batch file in 12 and it still will not accept files. I drag them into the Batch window and can see the plus sign next to the cursor when I do but when I release the button on my mouse, they don’t appear in the window. If I open Wavelab 10 I can successfully drop the same files into a Batch window and perform the processing. Any clues what’s going on? I’m using Windows 10 Home.

This is a procedure I regularly do with success.
Are you sure you drop compatible audio files?

Yep. They were saved as wav files by Wavelab just minutes before attempting to batch process them. To be sure, I opened the Batch process I had just made in Wavelab 10 instead and dragged the same audio files that would not propagate in the Batch window in Wavelab 12 and processed them successfully there.

Do other drag and drop procedures work? Like dropping the file to the workspace, to edit it.

Can you insert the audio files from the browser?

I cannot open them that way either. I can select them in the browse window but after I select Open, they do not appear in my Batch processor.

Even if you try to insert a single file at a time?

Please give an example of a file path that can’t be inserted.

I think I may have figured it out. At least partially anyway. The files I am trying to add are suffixed “.WAV”. If I change that suffix to a lowercase “.wav” I can add them. My MixPre-6 saves files using uppercase. This was never an issue with earlier versions of Wavelab though.

Thanks for your finding. This is abnormal and needs to be fixed for WaveLab 12.0.20.
