Two questions I am having trouble setting the tempo at the top right with the slider, I tried using shift and then move the tempo slider but I can’t get it to 99. I can go to the tempo layout panel on the right and set the bpm and then click create and it puts the bpm on the mouse but Dorico 5 elements won’t let me drop it onto the page. I have reset everything to default. Any ideas what I have done wrong? It is difficult with Parkinson’s to control some things.
Before setting the tempo you want, have you tried selecting a note on the page first? If a note is selected, the tempo will be placed at that note when you click on Create.
When using the mouse, as with placing some other items, you might have to click within the staff.
That worked, I had forgotten to do that. What about getting the playhead tempo set correctly how do I do that? I have a high resolution mouse but still can’t get to 1 either side
I can’t help there. I always type it in manually using the tempo popover. For example: select the note or rest, shift-T, q=99, Enter.
