Cannot Input Notes via MIDI But Can Still Hear When Key Pressed

I have connected my Minilab 3 to Dorico (on Windows 11), and I am able to hear the selected staff when I press notes, but when I try to input notes into the staff via MIDI, nothing happens. I am able to input via mouse just fine, but MIDI does not seem to be doing anything. The green light in the bottom right is solid green and unchanging, and inside my MIDI Control Center software, the controller is picking up inputs just fine. I also tried with another MIDI controller, and it is still not working. I have tried unchecking the additional devices in Preferences → Play except for the MIDI one, but that did not do anything either. I have also tried simply restarting Dorico, closing other DAWs, and disabling/enabling WinRT. If someone could help troubleshoot why I am unable to input notes through my MIDI controller, that would be great.

Thanks

This sometimes indicates a feedback loop, that your MIDI keyboard is not just sending out information but receiving info from the computer and recycling it. If your keyboard has MIDI IN and MIDI OUT, disconnect the MIDI IN from your keyboard. If you have a USB interface with the keyboard, you will probably have to check your keyboard’s instructions to disable the feedback.

Also please create a diagnostic report (Help > Create Diagnostic Report) and post here the corresponding zip file. Thanks

Hi, it seems to be working fine today (which is strange, considering I restarted my computer several times yesterday). If this happens again, I’ll be sure to attach a diagnostic report.
