Cannot install Dorico Pro 5.1.81

Hi
On my Macbook Air, the Steinberg Download Assistant quit unexpectedly and will not reopen.

I downloaded the utilities: Activation Manager, Library Manager, MediaBay. Also, Download Assistant, and Dorico Pro 5.1.81.

I deleted all previous versions of these files from my Applications folder.

When I try to install the new versions, I get error messages.
Two error messages are attached below:

Dorico Installation Crash Report.pdf (27.7 KB)

Download Assistant Crash Report.pdf (26.7 KB)

Please advise

Ed

Had a similar problem on Windows. Got an error that the Download Assistant was not able to connect to the server. I downloaded and installed the update of Dorico directly from the website: Dorico 5 Updates and Downloads | Steinberg

Ed, could you please find the original crash reports in text format in ~/Library/Logs/DiagnosticReports, zip them up, and attach them here?

Diagnostic Reports.zip (26.2 KB)

These are all of the reports.

Thanks: I will ask my colleagues who work on SDA if they know what might be going on here.

Thank you.

Any news?

Nothing that will be of any help to you, I’m afraid. They have had a couple of other reports of this problem, but as yet no solution is in sight. The plan is to update the version of the installer tool that they’re using for SDA in the hopes that this will solve the problem, but at the present time there’s no known workaround, and no date for a new SDA release.

Thanks.
I look forward to the updated version of the SDA.

Still no solution, unfortunately.

Indeed, there has been no new release of SDA within the last five days, and I would not expect a new release in the next five days either.

You can download and install all required components for Dorico and our other products from our web site, so for the time being you will need to continue to use that method.
