Cannot play Audio Montages

When I set up an Audio Montage and try to play the tracks, I get the following error message:

Playback could not start successfully. This may be because:

  • Your audio device does not support the sample rate or number of channels
  • The input of your audio device is also used (eg: for recording) but with some settings that are not compatible with those of the output (eg: sample rate)
  • Another running application has already opened the audio output device

I have no other issues with playback in Wavelab, and had no trouble with Audio Montages in Wavelab 5. I just upgraded my computer to Windows 7 - do I need to upgrade my sound card?

I have been back and forth in Wavelab looking for options, but nothing works. Any ideas?

Did you edit Options > Audio Streaming settings ?

Yes - the only choice I have is Audio Device > Windows MME. I also just downloaded and installed the Wavelab 7.1 patch.

Hmmm… The problem went away after I restarted my computer. Don’t know why that worked, but it did! :sunglasses:
