I recently changed to windows 10 and music records ok in cubase, but cannot play in windows media player. I used the pathway user/ music/ music

I would recommend to use WAV instead of WIndows only WMA.

before exported plays well on Cubase after export the quality is very bad and is disjointed

Do you monitor the exported file on the same speakers, same Audio Device? Make sure, there is no effect (EQ) applied in your player, please.
