if Steinberg give the slightest poopies about their paying customers this STILL needs fixing… it’s a total workflow killer. And it isn’t the same, having to hold down those keys while clicking is a way to give your users RSI injuries. When I have smaller parts I now use the ‘P’ shortcut… but what happens when I’ve got a really big part of a complete audio file and I need to work around it before I get into cutting it up? That’s the situation now… and it’s a total PITA. Oh… and another thing… even with the vastly inferior range dragging locator behaviour, why can’t I drag a new range over an exisitng one!! It’s so mind numbing crazy bad UI design. i.e. when I have a really long range and can’t see the ends… I can’t just drag again over that to select a smaller one… come on, FIX IT!
