When I try to assign routing from the track inspector the window opens for a split second and then closes. It worked in C14 pro but after update to 14.0.1 it does not. I have to open the mixer and select the routing there.

Which one ? There is normally no added window when changing the routing or instrument in the Track Inspector, unless we are not talking about the same thing when ‘routing’ is involved. Could it be the Edit Instrument command instead ?
Sorry I wasn’t more specific/ It’s the drop down window that used to open and stay open so I could select routing when I click the arrow.
OK. No Output Routing dropdown list issue, here, even with 14.0.10 : it remains available as long as a choice hasn’t been done, as with previous versions.
I would try, either, to restart Cubase in Safe Mode with the Disable program prefernces option, or if it is still misbehaving, try a reinstallation of Cubase from the Steinberg Download Assistant.
