Cant cut time any more with 8.5

I just need to cut out a section…and its not working any more with 8.5…probably because of the updated selector tool. What am I not doing?

Just figured it out. Flags were pointed out instead of in. Before the selector tool was red when the flags were pointed out. And blue when they were pointed in. Don’t like this new selector tool, but I don’t ever use punch in and punch out.
