I went through all the steps of Edit Percussion Kit>Add Instrument>Change Name>Change Notation. It added another snare drum on the middle line, but it won’t change the name to cross stick or show the notehead with the circle indicating cross stick. Any ideas?
If you look under Percussion Instrument Playing Techniques in the Kit editor with the snare drum selected, you see that it already has cross stick defined. You use alt/opt + up/down arrows to change playing technique before entering the snare, or alt/opt+shift+up/down arrows on a selected snare notes. If you want to keep your mid line snare drum, you need to edit the Playing Technique for that snare.
