What is the problem please?

What are you doing exactly?

It works here either by entering a f instead, or by decreasing the intensity:

shift + d and then f instead ff

Dynamics popover is Shift+D.

P is for Playing Techniques

sorry - of course i used shift + D

how can i upload a film?

can you open this film?
it shows the problem

strange enough: if i start a new project, everything works fine

Yes, I can see. Have you downloaded the last (6.2.10) version? There have been slight changes in the D popover’s behaviour I think.

Any case, I guess you can delete the ff and enter a f instead?

even that is NOT possible……

Sounds like you\re trying to edit a Condensed staff? Switch to Galley View.

no, both not possible:

I see that you’re running 6.2.

In 6.2.10 I have no problem with your cutdown file.

I think I saw that there were a few issues after the 6.2 improvements to the D popover, which were fixed in 6.2.10. Maybe it’s because of that?

6.2 Version History

Dynamics: The behavior of editing existing dynamics via the popover has been greatly improved, withDorico no longer unexpectedly producing duplicate dynamics.

6.2.10 Version History:

Dynamics: Further improvements have been made to the editing of existing dynamics via the popover.

(Not sure, just guessing…)

yep…you are right…I updated to the newest version and everything works fine. Sometimes it can be so easy.
Thanx so much !!

Good thing to know – you can use a command called decrease dynamic level or something like that. That will change all ff in the selection to f.

I can strongly recommend shortcuts for both increase and decrease. Saves a lot of time.
