Same issue as here Bug! Can't select or edit part after record (Cubase Pro 10.0.20) - Cubase - Steinberg Forums but thread seems to be dead.
After I record the clip is selected. After clicking on it it deselects and can’t be edited deleted or moved. Workaround is to select it via range selection than move it, or duplicate the track. Then only the duplicated track functions. Happens every audio and midi record, also after deleting all presets in safe mode and going back to regular startup.
