Can't even import WAV files into Cubase 6

It’s just suddenly started showing the ( / ) cursor when I try to drag even WAV files into even an audio track.

Are you saying that neither ‘drag and drop’ or import ‘audio file’ (they are two different functions) are working?

If so, did you try the ‘trash/‘remove’/‘change location’ of the ‘Preference Folder’ thingy?
