Can't find lane activation button. not on hidden list either

Cubase Elements 9.5.50 latest version. There is no “lane activation” button on the track controls, nor in the setup panes. It’s not on the hidden list. I could swear I used lanes at one time but it seems to have disappeared. Anyone?

I’m sorry, there are no track lanes in Cubase elements.

Lanes are in Cubase Artist and Cubase Pro.
