Cant find the VSTi in the right zone

I am trying to set up a rack instrument, but I am unable to do so because I can’t find the VSTi section. For reference, this is my screen when I enable the right zone.

Would really appreciate it if someone could help me out !!

Try to right click on the tab heading (Media). If a dialogue opens tick the boxes to show the other tabs.

Right click on the “Media” tab. This should get you to selecting which tabs can be shown:

Enable the “VSTi” tab.

I did that but there is no option for VSTi

But there is the “VST Instruments” icon, albeit partly hidden, above the “Loops & Samples” icon, and the same icon is present in the screenshot from your first post. What more are you looking for?

Then could you help me set up a rack instrument from there? Any and all tutorials on Cubase ask to find the VSTi section to do that but I cant do it from there. My goal is I want to play and existing midi file through cubase by importing it and setting it up with Midi tracks and not instrument tracks

Could it be that you have Cubase LE or AI? Rack instruments are not available there, only from Elements onwards.

Yeah I think you are right about that. Is there anyway to split the Haleon sonic VST to different inputs so that I can have midi tracks instead of instrument ?

Just route the output of the MIDI track to a Halion Sonic Instrument track.
