Can't get my mic to work

Hi.

I just bought a microphone to record in Cubase Elements 8.

I have a Steinberg CI1 auido interface, where the mic is plugged in, phantom power is on, the input gain is up and the mix button is in the middle of “Input” and “DAW”. I can hear the sounds from the mic in my headset, but nothing records in Cubase.

I tried fiddling around in Device setup and changing between ASIO4all v2 and the Yamaha Steinberg USB ASIO in the ASIO Driver. But can’t get anything to work.

Do anyone have any idea what to do?

Hi there

Have you set up your Inputs and outputs in VST connections? You also need to have the correct input In the track inspector. Also you should always use the Yamaha Steinberg ASIO driver.
