Can't get "Play n times" to show

For some reason, I can’t get “Play n times” to show in this project. Specifically, I want it at bar 95. Surely I’m missing something basic…

I could just add staff text at this point, but I want to know what I’m doing wrong!

If it’s any consolation, I’ve been flummoxed here for quite a few minutes.

If Library > Playback Options > Repeats > Play repeats is unticked, Dorico doesn’t do the calculations that put Play n times text on the page.

I suspect it’s been unticked automatically; Dorico does this when there’s a repeat structure that doesn’t make sense.

Fix the repeat structure at m. 88 (by turning the end of 91 into an endstart, for instance) then turn Play repeats back on.

Thanks Leo! Yeah I had added that back repeat at m.88, then changed my mind.

IIRC it’s not the first time this month that there’s that unticked option that causes a thread… Maybe it’s being automatically turned off too generously?

In both cases there’s been an invalid repeat structure. Maybe there could be some sort of warning at whichever point Dorico turns off that option; I believe it’s when the project’s closed.
