I have these settings for all my parts, but somehow bar 1 still shows up in parts:
I have another project set up with the same settings and it works perfectly, I can’t understand what is happening on this one. Any idea?

Weird, it shows even if you set bar numbers to none. I think you can select it and press delete, though. You only have to do it in one part.

Thanks, do you mena hiding it manually in engrave mode for every individual part?
No – if you select the bar number in Write mode in one layout and hit Delete, it will disappear from all layouts.

wow, thanks. it worked. I read your initial response and was scared to hit delete as selecting the first bar number also selects the time signature and felt like it would mess up the piece. Thanks again! to both!

If you add a bar number change, you can force a bar number to be shown even if Show bar numbers in Layout Options is set to None.

yep…it’s a file I received from a composer so I didn’t create it. it’s very weird though as I have worked on a mother file from the same person and the issue was not there
In general, I don’t think you should worry about trying things like this. If it doesn’t work as expected, Undo almost always fixes things. Otherwise, just close the file without saving it, and then reopen it.
