Cant move events by dragging C8 Elements

I am using Cubase 8 Elements, for some reason I suddenly can not move events created by dragging them in to position.

For example, if i have a sample, and I wish to move it across two bars I could usually use the mouse but now it is stuck in position. I can use “move to cursor” without a problem but this is more time consuming.

I must have done something accidentally to cause this. Does anyone know what that is and how I can fix the issue?

This is strange. Could you try Safe Start Mode, please?
