Can't open my old Nuendo files in Cubase 15

Can’t open Nuendo 3.1.1 files on Cubase Artist 15…
Why ?

I am not sure, but I think you might need Cubase Pro for that.

Have you tried “Import tracks from project”? That might work.

That’s a Pro only feature though.

So if i pay for upgrade to (cubase 15 pro) the files of old Nuendo will open ?

In Cubase Artist 14 I can’t find the option “Import tracks from project” anywhere.

Another Pro feature, I believe.

You could try the 60-day demo of Cubase Pro, because I don’t know if anyone here could give a guarantee it would work with such old files (Nuendo 3.1.1).

What exactly happens when you try to open an old .npr in Cubase Artist?

There is a message comes out saying :

Project “_______ npr” was created with Nuendo version 4.3.0 or 3.1.1
This program version cannot load it.

Finally i try the demo of Cubase 15 Pro.
It runs with no problem the files of old Nuendo !!!

So now i must upgrade the version of Cubase 15 to Pro.

Good to hear!

… or convert all of your old Nuendo files to .cpr before the 60 days runs out! :wink:
I think you will find the upgrade well worth it though.
