Is there a setting or a way to copy/paste a Shared Copy of a midi event? I know I can command-K or option-drag. But if I want to copy an event and paste it way later in the timeline, I’d like to simply paste - and keep the shared status. Pasting disconnects it and makes it a real part. Any way to keep it Shared after pasting?

Cmd+K doesn’t make a Shared copy. Cmd+K repeats the selected event. To make Shared copy, the only one way is to hold down Opt+Shift+drag&drop. Or you can Repeat events (Cmd+K) and enable Shared Copies.
Option+drag or Copy+Paste doesn’t keep the Shared status. And there is no way to set it up like this.
