Usually, copy/paste of lyric works just fine… but not on this tuple for some reason?

The reason is boring and technical and due to the way that drum kits work. Inputting new lyrics will work OK in this situation, so hopefully that provides you with a way forward, even if it is a bit less convenient for you.
Got it. I’m just very used to copy and paste my R’s and L’s, similarly due to how percussion works… eg not just being able to SPACEBAR from note to note across all instruments, I completely overlooked inputting new lyric at those locations, but It does indeed work.
