Can't play my midi controller through the VST instrument while the track is muted

Running Cubase Elements 10.5

Basically, I want to be able to hear what I’m playing on my keyboard (through the VST) but I can’t when the track is muted, even when monitoring is turned on. Is this a bug? I’m sure it wasn’t doing this before. A musician needs to be able to do this without deleting what has already been recorded. I hope I’m just being an idiot. :smiley:

Hi,

No, this is not a bug, it works as intended. When the track is Muted, the output of the track is muted = no signal on the output. I’m sure it has alway been working like this.
