Why you can’t record these?
If you try to click on the virtual (GUI) MIDI Keyboard of the plug-in, these MIDI Notes are not routed to the track. So you have to use Cubase on-screen keyboard, draw the MIDI Notes to the editor or record with real hardware keyboard.
These are Quick Controls 1-8. Maybe they are not assigned for this preset.

the Note my Arrow is pointing to is B4, so I draw the note B, how do I get the Bass slide sound?
Or is this where I have to use Note Expression , or a VST app!
I tried to record the sound as Audio, that didn’t work either!

Hi,
Once you click on the given key in the Key Editor, you should see the movement on the virtual keyboard of the plug-in. Can you see it? The same, once you select the MIDI Note in the Key Editor. It sends the MIDI Message out, so you can see it on the plug-in’s GUI.

I forgot they are allocated already to keys, basic stuff 
I was looking at Note Expression, then went to delete the added track while I was figuring out what I needed to do and I got this
